After quite a wet and cold week we finally got enough sunshine to dry the pollen for our ladies.  The inspection went well.  We found lots of eggs and brood so her majesty is keeping busy.  The workers are now on all of the frames which after 4 weeks is impressive!!  (well we think so) :)   I dont know if it was because they were busy or what but the bees were amazingly calm during the inspection, moreso than usual.  It was a real pleasure.

We have decided to try and get another nuc "if there is one free" but if not then we'll wait until next year.

The weather has turned cold and wet again so we were blessed with just enough time to do our inspection (phew)
